Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most profound and inspiring men of all time. His love and concern for his people was deep, and this is why his passion imuch more than just the father of India. He is also the father of many ideas of non-violence and the inspiration for many pacifists which followed him, including Martin Luther Kind Junior and John Lennon. In every culture across the globe, he is known for how he traveled and fought for Indians' freedom and the betterment of the poor. In biographies everywhere, we are reminded about how he sought for the enlightenment of his countrymen, the betterment of the untouchables, and how he did this humbly. While he had aids, he spoke to the people himself. He himself went into the houses of the untouhables to help prevent the plague from spreading, he himself helped heal the sick, whether they be lepers of otherwise.

Even long into his old age he worked with his passion. Mahatma did none of this for his own ego nor for personal gain; even as some people of India began to worship him as a god on earth and followed him, kissing his footsteps, he refused to act as though he was greater than any other man and this is still remembered today.
